Retail Sales Manager

Do you have strong experience in Retail management? Are you a self-described Foodie? If so this position may be for you! We are looking for a Store Manager for a retail store in Baltimore's Inner Harbor.

The Store Manager will be a Brand Ambassador responsible to drive sales through marketing, merchandising, local activities, events and promotions. You will create, with your staff, a positive shopping experience for your customers. You will oversee retail operations to include: managing and training a staff, staying up-to-date on product knowledge and new product releases, inventory and visual merchandising, reporting sales, cash control and managing a budget.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
• Identifies and sets goals and priorities for the success of the store.
• Ability to drive customer experiences - and results - through team development.
• Recruits, hires, trains and develops the staff by managing behavior, actions and performance through proper communication and follow-up.
• Works with the scheduling system and Store Managers to create weekly and daily schedules
• Maintain accounting records, daily reporting requirement, and cash control. Assist in managing P&L statement.
• Assist in establishing and implementing loss prevention procedures.
• Assist in merchandising inventory to maximize sales and profit potential. Assist with implementing promotional strategies and programs.
• Respond to customer inquiries and resolve customer concerns.
• Represent the company in a professional and positive manner at all times. Maintain and enhance the company's image when interacting with clients, guests, associates, and vendors.
• Perform unit opening and /or closing procedures.
• Performs other requested tasks and duties

Desired Skills and Experience
• College degree preferred
• 5+ years management/leadership experience
• You have demonstrated leadership ability with at least 5 years of experience in a customer-facing sales setting.
• Experience in retail sales field, preferred
• Ability to communicate clearly, effectively and courteously, both orally and in writing, internally as well as with customers and outside vendor partners
• You'll need to be flexible with your schedule. Your work hours will be based on business needs.
• Computer proficiency with the ability to utilize MS Word, Excel, Photoshop.
• Ability to effectively organize and coordinate multiple priorities; ability to work well as a team leader; ability to problem-solve.
• Strong customer service abilities; actively looks for ways to assist customers and coworkers.
