Corporate Human Resource Manager for Industrial Construction Company

Position Overview:

Reporting to the SVP of HR, the Corporate Human Resource Manager will be a member of the HR Leadership Team who serves as the strategic leader for one or more functional areas within the Human Resources department. Works effectively across the company managing programs to meet business objectives. Partners closely with business leaders and participates in cross-functional teams to develop and implement solutions to drive objectives. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: you will partner with SVP of People, Subsidiary HR Managers and   HRBP(s) on multi-stakeholder, cross-functional, complex projects - see-through and deliver upon the full project lifecycle (from planning, correct stakeholder analysis & scoping, through the definition of work streams and creating structures & tiering until completion and delivery)
  • Develop and administer various human resources processes, policies and procedures for all company employees
  • Facilitate the adoption of the various improvement of HR programs, policies, and processes to improve the overall employee and manager experience
  • Analysis and interpretation of company policy
  • Demonstrate understanding of employment law and practices as well as the Human Resources landscape and stays abreast of industry trends and innovation
  • Knowledge of various state and federal laws regarding employment and general personnel practices
  • Recruitment and new hire processing
  • Work with Shared Services to upkeep and improve the Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS)

Key Requirements - What you will bring to the team: 

  • Seven plus years' experience in HR Manager positions with increasing responsibility
  • The ability to understand business goals and recommend new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in business objectives, productivity and development of HR within the company
  • A true hands-on approach as well as the ability to successfully monitor the "pulse" of the employees at the local office to ensure a high level of employee engagement
  • Experience with rapid and complex changing work environment
  • Being an enthusiastic team player with a strong drive to create a positive work environment
  • Passion for innovative HR solutions and process improvement
  • Natural ability to collaborate well with others across the organization
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills. Exceptional attention to details
  • Outstanding work ethic, ability to perform under pressure, meet deadlines, ability to prioritize and deliver multiple tasks on time
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills

Education & Experience:

Bachelor's degree

Seven plus years of experience in progressively upward positions

Familiarity with construction industry, particularly the AEC market

Familiarity with the shared services model

Travel:

Less than 10% travel
