Accounts Receivable Clerk

Primary Function:

Supports branch administrative functions in the areas of accounts receivable, collections, time and material billings.  Process cash receipts and invoices.  Track and follow up on aged accounts. May perform basic clerical duties as needed.

Experience:

Minimum 3-4 years' experience required in the following areas:

  • administrative or customer service experience in an office setting
  • accounts receivable
  • collections
  • time and material billings
  • knowledge of general ledger accounting
  • experience with computer systems and MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) is required
  • familiarity with AIA billings and associated documents

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Strong problem solving and math skills

Self-motivated

Ability to work as part of a team

Will eventually be cross trained in:

  • all accounting function including AR, AP, Payroll
  • monthly reporting

After training this position will work to streamline processes and complete transition into new operating system. Also set up new jobs and customers.

Any experience with Penta Technologies accounting software is a plus.

Education:

Minimum of High school diploma or equivalent, Associates degree preferred
