 Position Overview

Corporation is seeking an experienced Corporate Supply Chain Manager to overhaul supply chain protocols, develop strategies to control/reduce operational costs and develop procedures and policies supporting National Supply base.

 Under the direction of the Sr. VP Business Operations the Corporate Supply Chain Manager will work closely with the Field Operations leadership teams and manage and optimize spend across the enterprise. This will include management of supplier relationships and development and negotiation of supplier contracts.

 The successful candidate with develop and execute plans to meet or exceed Corporate financial objectives.

 Some key objectives include: 

  • Identifying methods of leveraging spend across the Parent company and allowing it to take advantage of any savings that might be available via migration where applicable to Parent company Corporate programs and/or conversely supporting the transition to our Corporate negotiated contracts. 
  • Establishing a process to monitor aggregate and monitor spend by supplier and provide monthly reporting by vendor/commodity grouping and identify compliant and non-compliant spend. 
  • Working with Suppliers where we have current spend and establishing payment by PCARD to take advantage of key rebates.

  • Understand Spend across all entities and come up with plan to reduce vendors without reducing service. Consolidation of spend through supplier reductions to maximize savings and/or rebates. Secure approvals from Corporation CEO before enacting supplier consolidation plans. 
  • Develop procedures and policies establishing the protocols for Corporate Fleet management. 
  • Define and develop standards for key equipment required in support of Coatings and Industrial Cleaning operations. 
  • Recoup of capital deployed via Footprint rationalization across the enterprise 
  • Understand travel and lodging spend including those covered by per diem, develop plan to reduce cost by 10% across board for 2019. 
  • Financial Goals
    • Drive an additional $13M in spend through PCARDS Rebate increase of $200K
    • Consolidate Rental Spend to increase rebate by $50k
    • Consolidate Paint and Coatings Spend to increase rebate by $100k
    • Identify an additional savings of $300k through supplier consolidations, negotiations etc.
    • Total cost savings/Rebates of $650K

Job Responsibilities 

As a Corporate Supply Chain Manager, your responsibilities will include: 

  • Facility Management:
    • Rationalize current facilities footprint and develop future strategy for facility footprint.
    • Consolidate all current work on facilities.
    • Support development and design of organizational training facilities.
    • Review design with key field personnel to get input and buy-in.
    • Develop appropriate policies on facility use.
    • Liaison with our real estate broker. 
  • Inventory Control:
  • Manages inventory and logistics for equipment, materials across the Supply Chain.
  • Develops and maintains standards for equipment to be used across the enterprise and across each operating division.
  • Plans, monitors, the purchase of materials and supplies to ensure optimal inventory level is maintained and available for projects in a timely manner.
  • Assures that process controls are deployed to maintain inventory in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Coordinates with Project Managers to determine specific material and supplies needed for each project.
  • Tracks quality, quantity, stock levels, vendor delivery times, project delivery times, and costs.
  • Monitors supplier performance and manages as required.
  • Identifies opportunities for cost savings such as bulk purchasing; negotiates rates with vendors.
  • Identifies and addresses logistic issues with product or product quality, late deliveries, and billing.
  • Oversees and ensures safe and timely transport of materials and supplies to project sites. 
  • Supply Chain and Procurement:
  • Engages with Field Personnel and Suppliers and develops equipment standards for the Enterprise.
  • Handles order inquiries, compiles requests for equipment and, organizes information and data.
  • Prepares purchase orders by obtaining prices and other specifications, tracks purchases and supplies, manages shipping, receiving, and reconciliation of inventories.
  • Maintains inventory database and ensures that proper reports, records, and documents are detailed in the business system; updates inventory for all locations.
  • Prepares daily and monthly reports, prepares invoices, works with accounting to reconcile discrepancies and errors, and provides backup for corporate administrative needs.
  • Prepares and maintains procurement files, conducts procurement audits, as well as audit responses, organizes and inspects contract and procurement files.
  • Researches and develops proposals for cost saving methods of purchasing goods and services; assists in the development of procurement material and procedures including guidance on record retention, record storage, and procurement procedures.
  • Serves as Point of Contact (POC) for vendors, contractors, and corporate support staff. 
  • Fleet Management
    • Develops and manages the Fleet Program across the enterprise.
    • Optimizes fleet utilization
    • Ensures fleet is well maintained
  • Ensures compliance with DOT requirements and manages escalations, partnering with the Corporate Health & Safety team
  • Oversees driving monitory program of authorized company drivers and ensures they're qualified to drive on company business. 
  • Other:
  • Track performance metrics and KPIS within functional area of responsibility 

Key Requirements - What You Will Bring to the Team:

  • 3-5 years of experience in similar role, preferably in the A/E/C industry
  • Familiarity with ERP systems
  • Natural ability to collaborate well with others across the organization
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills. Exceptional attention to details
  • Outstanding work ethic, ability to perform under pressure, meet deadlines, ability to prioritize and deliver multiple tasks on time
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Solid Microsoft Office skills
  • Good problem solving skills, intellectual maturity, and relationship management skills

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree. Emphasis in Business Administrations, Supply Chain, Logistics, or similar field.

Licenses & Certifications:

  • Certification in Supply Chain, Logistics and/or inventory management preferred

Travel:

  • Travel of up to 50% may be required
