A leading supplier of Positron Emission Tomography radiopharmaceuticals and research services in Houston has an opening for a PET Technician I.

This position will be FULL-TIME and have a set schedule, including overnight and early morning hours (for example, 12:30 am - 8:30 am Sunday nights - Thurs night/Friday morning).

Duties will include production, quality control, dispensing and packaging of radiopharmaceuticals.



  • College degree in Chemistry, Biology, BioTechnology, Physics, Geology, or related field
  • Pharmacy Technician Certification (or ability to obtain in 3 months)
  • IV Certification (or ability to obtain by end of year)
  • Able to lift 50 lbs repeatedly (sorting and packaging chemical products)


Essential Functions include:

  • Operate automatic and manual manufacturing and chemical process equipment of varying complexity in various production processes in accordance with operating procedures.
  • Perform general maintenance as required on Cyclotron, chemical process equipment and QC equipment.
  • Assist Pharmacist with logistics, dispensing (using telemanipulator arms), packaging and shipping of radioactive pharmaceuticals.
  • Perform Quality control testing
  • Develop fundamental understanding of manufacturing processes. Support analysis of processes as related to process improvement projects
  • Support facility adherence with cGMPs and SOPs; responsibilities include documentation review activities, audit and monitoring of manufacturing operations.
  • Help to analyze, troubleshoot, and record data when requested.
  • Support development and implementation of Quality Systems within the facility.
  • Assist in creation of procedures and implementation and training activities
  • Ensure compounding/clean room areas and related equipment are cleaned and sanitized and maintained in compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Support Corrective Action/Preventive Action activities. Assist managers in conducting formal investigations to determine the cause of quality problems, and recommend verbal and/or written corrective action to management as required.
  • Review documentation and identify trends; provide detailed written observations to management as appropriate.
  • Participates in safety audits and attends all required safety meetings and training.
  • Participates in continuous quality improvement projects and other related activities as assigned
  • Ability to comply with GMP and safety codes and regulations
  • Work in various levels of clean room environment, with good aseptic/sterile techniques
