Our Client is a global leader in the commercial construction industry.  This position will manage and oversee a structural division ($100Million Revenue).  Direct reports will include Vice President of Project Management, Project Managers, Estimators, and Project Coordinators. The GM of Operations is responsible for the overall P&L of the division as well as the quality, schedule, and budget performance of all construction projects of the division.  Location for this position is somewhat flexible, but will likely reside in Southern-California, Phoenix or Seattle.

Required Qualifications

Work Experience

Ten (10) years related experience as a Business Leader (Director Level or above) with a Construction Company or Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM).  Structural steel and/or concrete construction experience preferred.   Profit and Loss Understanding & Responsibility; Budget Planning/Forecasting;

Contract Negotiation and Change Order management; Program Management, Scheduling, Efficiency Analytics/Metrics; Corrective Action & Continuous Improvement methodologies; Human Capital Planning; Capital Expenditure ROI Principles; Specialized knowledge is required in structural construction delivery methods, construction design, and production efficiency metrics.


Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in the following fields of study:  Construction Management, Civil/Structural Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.  A degree in a business related field may be acceptable if accompanied by proven track record of managing a P&L for a construction company or related type company.    

Software & Technology

Position will require the frequent use of MS Suite, Blue Beam PDF Software, Financial Accounting software; Concur Software; ERP system software, 3D modeling Software, and Construction Management software.
